Yellow Lake Resort & Spa is located ideally for visiting Yercaud’s core attractions by walk. The heart of the town, Yercaud Lake or Emerald Lake as it is also called, is just a 5-10 minute walk from here. This is the epicenter from where you can go for a pedal boat or a rowboat ride in the water or even just walk down the extremely pleasant, shaded, tree-lined path running around the lake. Situated right by the lake is Anna Park, very well maintained with flower shows (in May) and a children’s play area a short walk from the resort as well.

The main Yercaud Bus Stand and the little town center are very near; approximately a walk of 10-15 minutes. Small shops and local tea stalls and quite a number of restaurants abound in this locality, making it very convenient to step out for a meal or to buy local produce, coffee, and even homemade chocolates for the way. You can easily ‘hit’ the local market, or get into an auto-rickshaw for ‘run’ up to further views.

Even if one’s Lady’s Seat or Pagoda Point it’s a bit of a hike or a short drive to some of the more popular lookouts, the fact that the resort is not cut-off but easily accessible on foot from the heart of Yercaud tourist as well as local life makes location very convenient. This walk-friendly location scores big because this means you do not have to travel far out for a lodging that is in a quiet place.
