Getting There

Yercaud can most easily be reached through the road. Major city and transport hubs nearby include Salem that lie at the bottom of the hill. It's a matter of 32 km only but quite scenic and winding ghat road with about 20 hairpin bends only taking 60 to 90 minutes by car. Good Hotel in Yercaud is easily locatable with free on-site parking.

Nearest Airport: For people coming by air, the closest airport would be Salem Airport (SXV), from where there are only a few domestic flights available to and from the city. It is a 45-60-minute drive to the resort. Major International Airports: Coimbatore (CJB) is nearest, approximately five hours away, and Bengaluru (BLR) is next at approximately seven hours by driving. Coming by train is, in addition to a very common mode. Salem Junction principal railway station is a main center very much linked with the likes of Chennai, Bangalore, and Kochi. From outside Salem Junction, you can employ a local taxi for the one-hour trip up the hill to the hotel. Or else, you could take an auto up to Salem Central Bus Stand and from there catch one of innumerable cheap public buses plying the ghat road up to Yercaud Bus Stand which is just a short walk from the hotel.
